In order for uViewIt to operate optimally, your computer must have the following minimum components: - Pentium III 700Mhz, Athlon 1.2 Ghz or better, 64MB Ram. - Microsoft Windows 98/Me/2000/XP/2003/Vista - Microsoft DirectX 8.x or better. (included with Windows XP/2003/Vista) - Microsoft Windows Media Player 9 or better. - Video capture card and NTSC/PAL camera, or USB Webcam, or a DV camcorder with a (FireWire, i.Link, ieee1394 interface), or TV card as a video source. - Muliti-Cam setups should have 1 available serial port (i.e. COM1,COM2), or an internal 4 -port PCI card (i.e. Conexant 878a chipset) - Muliti-Cam Pro/PTZ setups should have 2 available serial ports (i.e. COM1,COM2). One Serial port is used to control the camera via RS-232 or RS-485 For more details, see the README file.
